A new technology with unique packaging could change the way consumers drink tea. No More Tea Bags, created by Guy Woodall, promises to make it faster and easier to enjoy hot tea. The patent-pending technology involves containing tea in an aerosol spray can. All a consumer needs to do is add hot water for instant tea.
Woodall’s previous ventures include Yum Cha iced tea and Thorncroft cordials. While creating a cup of tea faster and easier is exciting, he’s most thrilled about the superior taste. Proclaiming that these canned teas offer fuller flavors than traditional tea bags. Consumers are able to alter the strength of the tea to match their tastes. All they need to do is use more or less of the spray, and alter the amount of water they add.
Woodall told Food Bev Media
“NMTB caters for your exact needs, producing the perfect cuppa each and every time.” Current flavors include English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Jasmine green tea. The aerosol can contains tea concentrate that can be easily sprayed into a mug. Labels feature the proclamation “Instant tea: 20 cups of hotter, tastier tea” on each container. Each can is recyclable.
There’s a great deal of room for disruption in the tea market. Food Bev Media noted that 96 percent of teas in the United Kingdom are in tea bag form. Which has been ubiquitous since the early twentieth century. A product that offers faster tea with superior flavors may be a welcome change for the tea-crazy nation.
Whether they’d like their food labeling to express bold flavors or simpler preparation, a high-quality label printer like the Afinia R635 Color Laser Label Printer can help food and beverage manufacturers express their values and engage consumers.
